Summary
Join us for two evenings of baseball instruction, skill development, and fun at the Kenly Parks & Recreation Youth Baseball Camp! Hosted by current North Johnston Middle School Baseball Coach and former North Hohnston High and Louisburg College player, Tanner Snipes, participants will have the opportunity to improve their fundamentals through drills and instruction focused on hitting, fielding, throwing, base running, and overall game knowledge. The camp is open to players of all skill levels and is designed to help athletes build confidence, develop their abilities, and enjoy the game of baseball in a positive and encouraging environment.

Description

Kenly Parks & Recreation Youth Baseball Camp

Join us for two evenings of baseball instruction, skill development, and fun at the Kenly Parks & Recreation Youth Baseball Camp! Hosted by current North Johnston Middle School Baseball Coach and former North Hohnston High and Louisburg College player, Tanner Snipes, participants will have the opportunity to improve their fundamentals through drills and instruction focused on hitting, fielding, throwing, base running, and overall game knowledge.

 

The camp is open to players of all skill levels and is designed to help athletes build confidence, develop their abilities, and enjoy the game of baseball in a positive and encouraging environment.

Camp Dates: July 21-23
Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM each evening
Location: Kenly Parks & Recreation Field #2    508 South College Avenue, Kenly, NC

Eligibility: Ages 6 and up

Come learn, improve your skills, and have fun on the field this summer! Space may be limited, so register early to reserve your spot.                      

Waivers
Liability Release and Waiver
In consideration of my child/ward being permitted to participate in The Town of Kenly Parks and Recreation sports programs and activities, I, the undersigned parent or legal guardian, acknowledge and understand that participation in athletic and recreational activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, or accident.
 
I hereby voluntarily assume all risks associated with my child’s participation, whether such risks are known or unknown, and agree to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless the Town of Kenly, its Parks and Recreation Department, officers, employees, volunteers, coaches, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage that may be sustained by my child while participating in these activities, including travel to and from activities.
 
I certify that my child is physically able to participate and has no medical condition that would prevent safe participation, or that such conditions have been disclosed in writing. I grant permission for emergency medical treatment if necessary and accept financial responsibility for any medical care provided.
 
I, as the Parent/Guardian of the minor child being registered to participate in a youth recreation program with Kenly Parks and Recreation, give my permission for the use of my child's name and photographs in The Parks and Recreation Department’s publications both print and electronic- i.e. newspaper articles, social media posts, brochures and promotional materials.

By submitting this registration, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the registered participant. I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to the Liability Release and Waiver for Youth Athletics. I voluntarily consent to my child’s participation in all program activities and assume all risks associated with participation.

I further agree that this electronic acknowledgment constitutes my legal signature and has the same force and effect as a handwritten signature.
  • Fees are due by the deadline date for registration to be complete.
  • Registration fees must be paid before child can participate in camp.
  • All fees are non-refundable (If, for any reason, a camp or age group is cancelled, a 100% refund will be provided.)
  • Checks that are returned for insufficient funds will be assessed with a $25.00 service fee.
  • Complete one form for each child that is to participate.
